Client: Moravian College
Objective: The postcard was designed to promote The Lehigh Art Alliance’s 80th Annual Spring Juried Exhibition, hosted by the Payne Gallery at Moravian College. The goal is to attract visitors to the exhibition and communicate essential event details such as dates, times, and location while maintaining an aesthetically engaging and thematic design.
Target Audience: The primary audience includes art enthusiasts, students, faculty, and the local community interested in attending the art exhibition.
The postcard solves the problem of attracting attention while clearly communicating essential event details. The prominent display of the word “spring” with floral artwork immediately connects the viewer to the exhibition’s theme, while the rest of the content is organized clearly and logically for easy readability. The choice of fonts, spacing, and alignment ensures that the information is accessible and that the aesthetic aligns with the artistic nature of the event.
By using minimalistic design principles and integrating an artwork directly into the typography, the postcard stands out as both functional and visually engaging, successfully encouraging attendance while maintaining professionalism.
