Client: Plainsboro Public Library
Objective: The objective of this brochure is to inform the community about the Youth Engagement Services (YES) initiative at the Plainsboro Public Library. It aims to engage potential donors and community members by outlining the goals, plans, and impact of the project while encouraging financial and volunteer support.
Target Audience: The target audience includes parents, community members, donors, and stakeholders who are invested in the social, emotional, and intellectual development of children and teens. The brochure appeals to local businesses and organizations wanting to partner with or support the project.
The YES brochure addresses the challenge of effectively communicating a complex, long-term library initiative in a clear, engaging, and visually appealing way. The design solves the problem of conveying the importance of youth development and the need for community support by using child-friendly imagery, bright colors, and clear, direct language. The inclusion of the sketch of the future library space helps potential donors visualize the impact their contributions will have, while the prominent contact information and clear calls to action encourage immediate engagement. The brochure’s thoughtful organization and visual hierarchy ensure that readers can quickly access the most important information, while the consistent theme of transformation (represented by the butterfly) ties all the elements together, creating a strong emotional appeal.
